As a parent, grandparent, former staff member, principal, and Washington Township community member, I have seen the incredible impact WTSF makes for our schools and our students from every angle, and I truly believe this foundation lives its mission to support our schools. The funding WTSF offers, allows teachers and staff to provide students with activities, resources, and programming that would not otherwise be possible. Teachers need our support and WTSF helps me provide that support where it’s needed most.

My experience as a student in Washington Township schools was integral to developing lifelong friendships and professional success. I support the Washington Township Schools Foundation to help provide enhanced resources for our educators and a world-class public school experience for our children, including my own. It’s an honor to give back to a township that gave so much to me for so many years.
WTSF provides opportunities and experiences for the youth of Washington Township that would not have otherwise existed. Our grants and programs empower teachers within the community to educate and explore more “non-traditional” experiences that deeply impact students, and can even lead to unforeseen occupational journeys. As a donor and board member, I get to hear the excitement and joy of a grant recipient and know that I have helped provide MSDWT students with unique and unforgettable learning.

Public schools are the foundation of a functioning society. The world becomes more polarized as educational options expand to allow parents and therefore their children a bubble in which to live and learn. This world is a melting pot, and supporting the educational foundation for that melting pot to be able to thoughtfully engage with each other could not be more important for the future. WTSF enables MSDWT to be the best version of themselves and provide the diverse population with equitable and accessible learning opportunities. Every. Single. Kid. gets a chance in Washington Township Schools.
WTSF provides funding where it’s needed most to enhance the educational experiences of our students and teachers, helping to better prepare the children in our district to make a difference in society. Being a student or an educator in today’s world is plenty hard already, but by supporting WTSF, I am able to more directly support our teachers and enable their ideas, hopefully making things a bit easier for them as everyone benefits in both the short and long terms.

Our public schools provide an exemplary education and unique experiences to students that will impact them for the rest of their lives. As a product of public schools, and parent of a current WT student, I am honored to be able to participate in this positive experience through serving on the WTSF board.
As a graduate of North Central High School and a student in Washington Township Schools since kindergarten, I’m grateful for the education and experiences that have afforded me so many opportunities today. It’s the unwavering support of the teachers and staff of Washington Township that challenged me and my peers to do great and to be great — and to now have the chance to give back through my time and treasure is the best way for me to say thank you.
As an alumna, I remember all the advantages Washington Township schools offered me. My teachers and extracurriculars prepared me for college and my career. As an aunt, I later saw North Central through the eyes of my nieces, who excelled academically, athletically, and in the performing arts. Both are now medical professionals. And as the coordinator for college counseling at North Central, I guided students and their parents through the college search and application process and assisted in their searches for scholarships. With the teacher and student support of the Foundation, Washington Township schools will continue to make a difference in the lives of its students and in the community.

I love public education and helping children achieve brighter futures. Seeing the good work that the WTSF does every day for our kids, our teachers, and our administrators is what drives me to continue to give my support.
I choose to support WTSF because of the resources and funding it provides for Washington Township Schools. As a donor and board member, I am able to offer more opportunities for teachers to give students additional experiences that enhance their education. And as an Alum, I enjoy providing awareness and love seeing other alumni get more engaged and acknowledge our work as a foundation.

The impact of WTSF is huge! The grants and scholarships we provide not only recognize achievement but support the efforts and creativity of our teachers and students! WTSF programs and events show the foundation’s commitment to the growth and well-being of our students. And events like the Great North Run promote the health of our community.

I grew up in WT and after taking jobs around the country, I came back to WT to live, raise my family, and provide my children with a great education filled with academic rigor, student diversity, involvement opportunities outside the classroom, and life lessons learned. By supporting WTSF, I can help ensure these experiences for today’s students. The decision to move back to WT was the best decision I could have made for both myself, and my three kids. By any measure of success, we have all succeeded and I hope to help others do the same through my work with the Foundation.
