Thank you to everyone who helped make BASH 2023 a success!
On Saturday, November 11th, The AMP in downtown Indianapolis was transformed into a vibrant carnival as over 300 attendees gathered at the new venue for BASH ’23: Step Right Up.
The true magic of the evening was in the generosity of the attendees, auction participants, and sponsors who came together to successfully raise over $90,000 to support the students and staff of Washington Township. A testament to our donor’s commitment to enhancing educational programming. The funds raised will undoubtedly make a significant impact on our schools as well as our Alumni and the community at large.
If you were not able to join us at BASH, keep scrolling for more details on the night, and make sure to check out our fund-a-grant video to see the impact that comes from your support in removing financial, emotional, and physical barriers for students.
If you would like to give to this worthwhile cause, please consider a donation to our Annual Fund using our online giving form.
A Night to Remember
The air buzzed with excitement and creativity at Bash ‘23, as the carnival-chic theme inspired guests to showcase their most imaginative outfits. The energy in the room was infectious, thanks to the intuitive beats spun by the dynamic DJs. A highlight of the evening came when NCHS alumni, Jake Query, introduced the evening’s esteemed honoree, Dr. Eugene White.
Guests enjoyed a culinary adventure offered by 20 distinctive food vendors. From classic carnival treats to gourmet delights, attendees were treated to a diverse range of signature bites that delighted their taste buds. The array of flavors and creativity added an extra layer of excitement to the event, making it a true feast for the senses.
The night wasn’t just about indulging the palate; it was also a feast for the eyes and mind. The silent auction boasted an impressive array of items, enticing guests to bid generously. Meanwhile, talented caricature artists captured the whimsy of the carnival theme, creating personalized keepsakes for attendees. Many photos were taken, both in front of the glowing BASH marquee, as well as in the Mirror X photo booth, generously provided by NCHS alumni, Deshae O’Kelley, owner of Why Not Party With Us. A strolling close-up magician added an element of mystery and awe, leaving guests spellbound with his sleight of hand and illusions.
As the night came to a close, attendees left with smiles on their faces, memories of a magical evening, and the satisfaction of knowing they had contributed to a meaningful cause. BASH ’23: Step Right Up was not just an event; it was a celebration of community, creativity, and compassion. Until next year, when this fun and impactful night beckons once again, BASH ‘23 will be remembered as a night of joy, laughter, and generosity.
