Kyra Patterson is a proud 2020 graduate of North Central High School. Although her graduating class wrapped up their time at North Central during the beginning of the COVID pandemic, Kyra feels lucky she was able to take full advantage of the opportunities available to her and leave knowing she made her mark on the Panther legacy.
During her time at North Central Kyra participated in the Natural Hair Club, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, and AVID. She also served as Junior Class Council Secretary and Senior Class Council Vice President, as well as participating in the medical assistant program at JEL.
Kyra has a host of favorite memories from her time as a Panther, but her top three include:
- Planning the Junior Spec acts as Junior Class Secretary
- Working with contractors and venues to plan Junior Prom
- Organizing the Senior Blood Drive
Kyra is thankful for her time at North Central and believes the academic rigor, time management skills, and a love of learning she acquired as a panther have helped prepare her for success in college and beyond.
This journey also inspired Kyra to help other students find a path to college. In 2020, Kyra started her own business, “A Quest Towards College,” where she serves as an educational consultant. Her services range from college essay construction to customized scholarship lists and one-on-one consultations. Kyra is currently a student at Howard University in Washington D. C., majoring in Political Science with a minor in sociology. She is on the Pre Law track and plans to attend law school upon graduation.
