Dave Wheeler was a lifelong educator with a profound passion for history and an unwavering dedication to his students. He taught at North Central High School, a place he truly considered his “dream school,” for over 14 years.

Known for his enthusiastic teaching style, he brought U.S. History and AP U.S. History to life for his students. Beyond the classroom, Dave’s leadership extended to other critical student engagement opportunities; he served as a football coach for 11 years and organized the National History Day competitions. Dave was a beloved figure in the North Central hallways, classrooms, and fields.
