Debby Hilburn Learning Center Support Fund

Debby Hilburn was a lifelong educator, starting with Washington Township Schools in 1971 as a resource teacher. Debby’s impact was felt throughout the district for over fifty years as she served in various roles at Allisonville Elementary, Crooked Creek Elementary, Wyandotte Elementary, and North Central High School. At the time of her passing, Debby was serving as a mentor to new teachers in Washington Township as well as tutoring students in the North Central High School Learning Center.

Your contributions will honor Debby’s passion for students in Washington Township by making additional resources and supplies available to students being tutored in the North Central High School Learning Center. This academic support center is staffed by 32 professionals and multilingual tutors providing support in English, mathematics, social studies, and science. The Learning Center is open to all NC students during study halls and after school with hundreds of students using its services on any given day.
