The Joyce Click Vocal Instruction Fund provides annual support for traditionally underserved student populations in all ten North Central Choirs by funding:
- Scholarships for individual and small group vocal coaching, clinics, and private instruction.
- Clinics, critiques, and assessments with vocal professionals for ensemble groups.
- Workshops and performances by visiting artists.
In recognition of Mrs. Click’s retirement, this endowment effort will ensure an ongoing legacy of the exceptional and inclusive vocal instruction she fostered during her 44 years as a Washington Township Choir Director.
Mrs. Click began teaching in Washington Township in 1977. Throughout her legendary career, she has helped thousands of K-12 students cultivate a deep love and appreciation of music. In 2017, she was named a California Casualty Teacher of Excellence as well as a Global Scholar by the NEA Foundation. In 2016 she was named Hoosier Educator of the Year. In 2015 she was named a Grammy Award semi-finalist as the top 25 of 5000 nationally nominated music teachers.
