Lauren Harden

NCHS CLASS OF 2007

Before Dr. Lauren Harden achieved her dream of owning her own chiropractic and sports medicine practice, she was a new student at North Central High School. Moving into the District as a freshman, Dr. Harden says NC taught her how to work hard and make good decisions, two qualities that propelled her toward post-grad success.

Q&A

What are you up to now?

I own Body Mechanics Health and Wellness, which is a private chiropractic practice that specializes in non-traditional, non-prescriptive drug options for pain management.

How did North Central impact and shape who you are today?

Coming from an IPS middle school, North Central High School was a culture shock. I learned a lot about success and achievement in my experience with sports and academics, and being in the weight room with Coach A. I went to college fully prepared and grateful I knew how to work hard and make good decisions. It really allowed me to enjoy my post-high school life. Grad Dance was the bomb, too; that’s worth noting.

WHAT IS your favorite memory from North Central?

Playing for the NC Women’s Basketball team and being part of the program that won the Women’s Basketball Championship back to back!
