LIVING HISTORY DAY BRINGS THE PAST TO LIFE FOR NC STUDENTS
On April 24th, NCHS students came together with alumni and members of the Washington Township community once again to participate in Living History Day!
Living History Day helps a new generation understand how the past has shaped our present lives by connecting current students to those in our community who served in an armed conflict or experienced how these conflicts changed life in the States. During the event, participants bring history to life for students and staff by sharing their stories, photos, and more to help ingrain in tomorrow’s leaders the importance of days gone by.
We were proud to have many alumni veterans attend, some coming from as far as Texas and Alabama! This year’s Living History Day even included a special visit by WRTV news. You can view their coverage of the event here.
A special thank you to our donors for enabling WTSF to help support events like Living History Day. If you would like to help support more programming like this for our schools, please consider giving to our Annual Fund.
