Jack Milton

NCHS CLASS OF 2020

North Central High School has long been a place where students discover their passions, build lifelong friendships, and develop the skills that shape their futures.

Meet alumnus Jack Milton, who found a home in Counterpoints before pursuing a career in public service and the business sector.

Q&A

What are you up to now?

After graduating IU Bloomington in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in history and mathematics, I spent the second half of last year in Madison, Wisconsin, working in a logistics-focused role on the successful re-election campaign of U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin. I moved back to Indianapolis at the beginning of 2025. I now work as an associate property tax analyst at a company that provides tax services to businesses around the country.

How did North Central impact and shape who you are today?

Maybe I’m supposed to say that being a student at North Central was the time of my life, but the truth is that high school is a tough, awkward, stressful, frustrating period of life for every person. North Central gave me a safe, welcoming environment where I could grow through that difficult phase surrounded by friends and teachers who cared about me and who pushed me to become the best version of myself.

WHAT IS your favorite memory from North Central?

Singing “Jenny Rebecca” with the Counterpoints after a competition. Performing arts was what convinced me to come to North Central in the first place and remained the heart of my high-school experience through all four years. I found a family in Counterpoints, and Mr. Raunick and Mr. McElroy always brought out the best in their students in class and on the stage.
