North Central Alum Shines in One Battle After Another
One Battle After Another is a 2025 Comedy/Drama starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Teyana Taylor, and North Central’s own Chase Infiniti. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson, known for Magnolia, Boogie Nights, and Licorice Pizza, this film marks another major milestone in Chase’s rising career. Her breakout role came in Apple TV’s Presumed Innocent, where she starred alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel Brosnahan.
But before Chase hit the big screen, we knew her as a fellow Panther and 2018 NCHS grad!
Chase Infiniti’s Performing Arts roots
Over her four years at North Central, Chase was active in Reparatory Theatre, notably taking on the role of a Reporter in 2016. In 2017, Chase played the starring role of Morticia in North Central’s production of the musical “The Addams Family.” During the first scene, she led the cast in the song “When You’re An Addams”, which she followed up with a solo soon after. Thanks to a grant from the Washington Township Schools Foundation, Chase and her castmates worked with professional lighting designers and choreographers, who collaborated with the cast multiple times each week to bring the production to life.
North Central’s Show Choir Shines
Chase was also a member of the Descants show choir ensemble before joining Counterpoints for her senior year. WTSF supported all of North Central’s choirs by funding new uniforms to “Razzle Dazzle” audiences and providing stage monitors to enhance sound quality during performances.
In her junior year, Chase performed a solo at the Descants Winter Concert as well as at the More Joyful Sounds of the Seasons concert at St. Luke’s Methodist Church. A WTSF grant funded the commissioning of a brand new piece of music by award-winning composer Dominic DiOrio, written specifically for North Central students to perform at this concert. The world premiere of this piece was shared with our community at the free annual concert.
“I love Descants because everyone creates a family-like bond during the season, and you just get to know people you would never be able to talk to.” Chase remarked at the time.
The following semester, Descants entered competition season.
“Going from competition to competition during show choir season is stressful, but it’s so cool to see how much the show can grow and change over the course of the first competition to state.” said Chase about the experience.
We’ve loved watching Chase Infiniti grow from the North Central stage to the big screen, and we’re proud to have played a role in her journey. We can’t wait to see what she does next!
