TEN UNDER TEN 2025 HONOREES

The Ten Under Ten Award recognizes the accomplishments of ten young alumni leaders who are less than ten years past graduation. This year’s honorees include scientists, educators, artists and many more impressive Panthers.

Rachel Hohe
Scientist | Class of 2016

Rachel Hohe is a scientist working in medical affairs in Cleveland, Ohio, with more than six years of research experience. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Purdue University and her doctoral degree in Molecular Medicine from Case Western Reserve University. During her doctoral research at the Cleveland Clinic, she focused on cholesterol and the mechanisms of atherosclerosis plaque regression by macrophages. Outside of her professional work, Rachel volunteers with Cleveland’s Slow Roll Chapter, tutors STEM & standardized testing, and plays the cello in a local ensemble.

Terica Marie
Recording Artist | Class of 2016

Terica Marie is a singer, songwriter, and actress from Indianapolis, now based in Atlanta. With a BFA in musical theatre from Ball State University, she blends her church roots and theatre background to create heartfelt, soulful music influenced by R&B, pop, gospel, and jazz. Her hit single “Simple Things” has resonated with listeners worldwide, garnering millions of streams and widespread acclaim. Her talents extend to stage and screen, including her National Broadway Tour debut as Anna of Cleves in Six and appearances on The CHI, Chicago PD, and FBI: Most Wanted. Through music and theatre, she connects, heals, and inspires, living by the motto: “Never give up on yourself. What is for you will not pass you.”

Molly McMath, JD
Attorney | Class of 2015

Molly McMath is an Associate Attorney at CohenMalad, LLP, where she represents plaintiffs in civil cases involving sexual abuse, prisoners’ rights litigation, and medical malpractice. She earned her J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where she developed a deep commitment to advocacy and public interest law. Dedicated to fighting for survivors, challenging injustices in the prison system, and holding negligent medical providers accountable, Molly combines legal expertise with a passion for justice to ensure her clients receive the representation they deserve. Outside of court, Molly spends her free time in nature, playing the electric guitar, or escaping within the pages of a good book.

Andrew McNutt, PhD
Computational Biologist | Class of 2015

Andrew recently received his PhD from the Carnegie Mellon-University of Pittsburgh Joint Program in Computational Biology, where he worked under the guidance of David Koes. His research lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence and drug discovery, where he develops novel machine learning approaches to enable cheaper and faster development of therapeutics. Andrew has published several papers on the development of drug discovery methods and their application and has presented his work at various international conferences such as the Machine Learning for Structural Biology Workshop at Neural Information Processing Systems Conference and the Machine Learning for Molecules Conference. Outside the lab, Andrew can be found scaling boulders, cliffs, and mountains across the country.

Kevin Melrose
Social Studies Department Chair | Class of 2014

Kevin Melrose is an award-winning 8th-grade social studies teacher and department chair of Westlane Middle School. He leads the District’s Washington, DC trip and created the first district National History Day showcase. He has previously taught in Indianapolis Public Schools, student-taught in Tanzania, and is a graduate of Indiana University. His accomplishments include Teach Indy Community Engagement Award, Crystal Apple Finalist, 2022 Indiana Teacher of the Year by the College Football Playoff Committee, Big Ten Football Championship Educational Initiative 2021 Award Recipient and the Human Rights Award for United Education Profession. In his free time, he enjoys watching horror movies with his incredible wife, traveling, and practicing professional wrestling.

Joey Mervis
VIDEO PRODUCER | Class of 2017

Joey is a multi-faceted creative who works as the Director of Video Content for BroadwayWorld, producing a wide variety of video coverage for entertainment news. He can be found on every Broadway opening night carpet or filming long-form interview, performance, and live-stream content. He has also worked on the Broadway production of Some Like It Hot and the national tour of Emojiland as Associate Playback Engineer. During the pandemic, Joey took a year off from NYU to co-found Riverbend Creative and produce virtual performances for clients including the DEA’s Red Ribbon Week, the Atlanta Opera, North Central Theatre, and the North Central Counterpoints. After producing the 2017 North Central Lip Dub his senior year, Joey became a proud board member of the Caroline Symmes Children’s Cancer Endowment.

Hannah Pack
Social Studies Educator | Class of 2016

Hannah Pack is in her fifth year of teaching, and currently serves as a Geography teacher at North Central High School. She holds a B.S. in Social Studies Education from Indiana State University and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Educational Leadership at Indiana University Bloomington. Beyond her teaching role, Hannah contributes to Keeping Indiana Learning, serves on the advisory committee for TeachIndy, and co-sponsors the NCHS Black Student Union. As an educator, Hannah is dedicated to mentoring her students, fostering meaningful connections, and supporting their academic and emotional growth, with a focus on helping them become informed and engaged citizens.

Anna Thompson
Public Health Leader | Class of 2019

Anna is a public health leader passionate about serving historically underserved and underrepresented communities. After graduating from North Central in 2019, she pursued higher education at the University of Indianapolis where she obtained her B.S. in Public Health Education and Promotion, and her Masters in Public Health. In 2023, she became a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and in 2024, she obtained her Certified Lactation Specialist (CLS) certification. Anna works for Indiana WIC where she has been diligently working to create policies and toolkits to provide incarcerated women with breastfeeding and lactation services.
Through this work, Anna engages with local agencies to foster connections and support community mobilization and advocacy. Anna’s mission is to promote positive maternal and infant health outcomes and to reduce recidivism in Indiana.

Olivia Watson
Mathematics Educator | Class of 2015

Olivia is in her 6th year as a secondary math teacher at her alma mater, North Central High School. She also serves the school in other capacities, like in her role as Senior Class Council sponsor. She was awarded “First Year Teacher of the Year” for the District in 2020, and has also been awarded the “Beacon of Hope” award three years in a row for her work coordinating the biggest high school Blood Drive in the state of Indiana. Travel is one of her biggest passions, and she has been lucky enough to lead student trips to both Greece and Japan in past years, with plans to take students to Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam in the future. Olivia can be found serving on the chain gang for North Central Football on Friday nights in the fall with the all-female crew. She still frequents Bazbeaux pizza as much as she did in high school, and finally achieved her lifelong dream of adopting a corgi named Cannoli.

Jamichael Watts
PACES Educator & Coach | Class of 2019

Jamichael is new to his Special Education Teacher role at North Central, where he works countless hours to support the academic and personal growth of his students. Currently, he is further advancing his professional credentials by pursuing a Transition to Special Education Teaching License at Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU). In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Jamichael also plays a key leadership role as the coach of both the Varsity Football and Wrestling teams, where he teaches teamwork, discipline, and athletic excellence. His multifaceted involvement in education and athletics highlights his commitment to both his students’ academic and extracurricular development.
